Sahara is a beautiful 4-1/2 year old spayed female who was previously a Pittie Paw Rescue Dog and has had a rough past. Guardians for the Animals of Ohio Rescue pulled her from Knox Animal Shelter after she was seized from the former Rescue.
Her foster has this to say about this amazing girl:
I know of multiple homes she was in and they didn’t give her a chance, didn’t work with her and didn’t devote enough time to her. She’s had urine burns at one point, dog fights at another, close to being euthanized at the shelter and she’s just been all around let down. She is one of the best girls ever, for most people. She does occasionally leash bite but with a constant reminder and harnesses, she has the potential to do really well. She is fairly calm on her own, she doesn’t approve of being in a crate but can be left out unattended if needed. We prefer to house her in a heavy duty crate.
She does have potential to be with another dog with very slow, steady intros but due to multiple attack’s in the past.. she’s slow to trust other dogs. She adores children. She can go for walks without reacting to other dogs but enjoys her person overall. She is house trained and a complete cuddle expert.....she will never let you down with company for a night in. She’s been let down so many times in the past and it shocks me how when she’s truly a good girl. She knows multiple commands and is eager to learn more. She’s very treat motivated as well.
She is really just looking for her forever place to crash, with someone who won’t give up on her. If interested in more information please contact Guardians for the Animals of Ohio Rescue or fill out an adoption application to meet Sahara.
